What do the tones of renowned guitarists such as Jimmy Page, EVH, and Eric Johnson have in common? They all used the legendary echo machine EP-3 as a pre-amp. Xotic Effects has captured that magic in their pedalboard staple, the EP Booster.

Built using only the highest quality parts available with a discrete FET design and low impedance output, the EP Booster provides up to +20dB of unadulterated boost with multi-dimensional, shimmering highs and lows, and no ear fatigue.

The internal DIP switches let you choose the boost frequencies, and EQ settings. True bypass for eliminating any signal interference when switched off. Can be used with AC adaptor (optional) or 9V Battery.

The internal DIP switches allow you to adjust the EQ and boost frequencies. With the default settings engaged, the EQ is flat and the minimum boost is +3dB. By turning off the first switch, you can achieve unity gain settings. This retains the flat EQ from the default settings, and also drops the minimum boost to unity gain. To achieve the vintage settings, turn both switches off. This will take away some of the brightness of the EQ while leaving the minimum boost setting at unity gain.

The Xotic Effects EP Booster can also double as a preamp. Dial it in and leave it on for that little bit of extra warmth and grit. Stack it with your favorite drive pedal to push it over the edge.
